Brokers like us work in tandem with insurance companies to get customers the most suitable cover for their needs.

We don’t provide our own policies or underwrite them. It’s the insurers who do that. And because they also take on the risk of you having to make a claim on your policy, it’s the insurers who pay all the costs to settle claims.

We’re the helpful middleman in all this, providing an expert guiding hand throughout. We listen to what customers want, advise them where required, and match them with the most appropriate insurer and policy for their risks.

We represent your interests when it comes to claims too. You’re our customer, so where allowed, we’ll liaise with the insurer on your behalf to secure you the best possible outcome.

Are all insurance brokers the same?

In some respects, yes. We all help our customers get insurance.

In the UK, we’re regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), so have strict guidelines for how we do business – most importantly, ‘treating the customer fairly’.

But in others, no.

Some, but not all, brokers are authorised by the FCA to offer ‘advised sales’. Like us.

It means we can use our expertise to advise customers about their insurance. We can offer guidance and help them find cover that’s right for them.
